Porsche is natuurlijk hét merk van de breedtesport, dat talloze successen heeft behaald dankzij de privéteams van Auto Usdau, Reinhold Joest, de gebroeders Kremer, Walter Brun, Franz Konrad, Jochen Dauer, Larbre, Kevin Buckler etc. etc. Maar vergeet niet dat Porsche ook heel vaak als fabrieksteam optrad in de beroemde kleuren van o.a. Martini en Rothmans.
