Porsche 906, 907, 908 & 909 D
		Porsche was redelijk succesvol met de kleine 4-cilinder 904 GTS en ontwikkelde vervolgens een nieuwe sportscar, maar nu met 6-cilinder motor. De auto was voorzien van een buizenframe en door het lage zwaartepunt van de boxermotor was de 906 vederlicht en wendbaar. Het fabrieksteam van Porsche zette de auto alleen in 1966 in en won de Targa Florio. Privé-teams reden nog wat langer met deze auto die opgevolgd werd door de 907, 910 en 908. Porsche raced the small 4-cilinder 904 GTS. Nest they built a new sportscar with a tube frame and flat-6 engine. The car was very light and reliable. It won the Targa Florio in 1966.
