1968 24 uur / hours Le Mans
		De ongelimiteerde prototypes waren in de ban gedaan. De bedoeling was dat de 3-liter prototypes het onderling zouden uitvechten dit jaar. Echter, de CSI had - om de startvelden te vullen - oudere sportscars met een motorinhoud tot 5 liter toegestaan. Laat nou net een van die oude bakken Le Mans winnen ... The unlimited prototypes were banned. The meaning was that the new 3-liter prototypes would fight for the win. But, to fill the starting grids the CSI decided to allow older sportscars upto 5-liters to compete. And that was just the car that won ...

1968 Overige races / other races
		De races van het wereldkampioenschap waren het strijdtoneel tussen de dikke oude Ford GT40's en de kleine lichte Porsche 907 en later 908. Ferrari speelde geen rol van betekenis meer in de grote wedstrijden. The races of the worldchampionship saw great battles between the old Ford GT40 and the small Porsche 907 and later 908's. Ferrari didn't play a role of impotance in the big races.

1968 Trans-Am & CanAm
		De McLarens waren oppermachtig in de CanAm series van 1968. Vier rijders, allen met een McLaren - Chevrolet verdeelden de overwinningen. Trans-Am werd gedomineerd door de Camaro van Penske Racing. The McLarens were the car to beat in this years CanAm series. Four drivers, all driving a McLaren - Chevy won all races. Trans-Am was dominated by the Penske Camaro.
