Jean Graton is een van oorsprong Franse striptekenaar en de geestelijk vader van de strips van Michel Vaillant. Michel rijdt al sinds 1958 Formule 1, Le Mans, rallyes en zelfs Dakar en wordt bijna niet ouder. In het boek "Nummer 13 aan de start" bindt hij de strijd aan met de bandieten van de Texas Drivers maar wint uiteindelijk samen met zijn Amerikaanse vriend Steve Warson de race.
Jean Graton is a French cartoon artist and maker of the Michel Vaillant stories. Michel drives Formula 1, Le Mans, rallyes and even Dakar since 1958, and he hardly gets any older. In the comic "Number 13 at the start" he fights the bandits from Texas Drivers but in the end he wins the race together with his friend Steve Warson.
